Northstar Wind Towers is based just outside Omaha, Nebraska, USA in the city of Blair. We are comprised of engineers and business people from the wind energy industry. Our goal is to create a new wind turbine tower that lowers the price of the tower component and ensures scalability for taller towers as wind turbines keep reaching higher.
FUTURE PROOF TOWERS
NORTHSTAR’s main objective during the design of this new tower was to develop a structure similar to a conventional, round, painted, tower while at the same time reducing the weight and allow for an increased bottom diameter - two issues that continue to trouble the wind industry as turbines increase in size.
